Dear Colleagues,

I am very honored to serve as President of Oklahoma HFMA for 2021-2022.  I hope you will join me in the year ahead as we strive to “continue on the right track” making OHFMA the strongest yet!

There is much to be done as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.  The public health emergency has profoundly affected continuing healthcare education and although we were unable to have full blown conferences, we worked outside the box and provided those coveted CPE’s.

Our members were deeply challenged, both professionally and personally and many continue to work from home.  Working conditions were difficult in the beginning but our members thrived both at home and in the workplace in-part thanks to HFMA.  Our members continued to receive education not only at the Association level but locally as well.   OHFMA held its first ever virtual meeting in September of 2020.  It was a huge success, mostly thanks to Scott Sanders, our fearless leader who jumped right in with both feet and got it done.  Scott and the programming committee continued on this new quest holding virtual meetings in January, a special “From OHFMA with Love” in February and in April, held the grand finale with the largest meeting attendance ever, which included a guest appearance from our esteemed Governor, Kevin Stitt.  Kudos to all who were involved last year with making education still a possibility for our members.  Special thanks to our Sapphire Business Partners, BOK Financial, Eide Bailly and Healthcare IP along with all of our other partners, for without them, this education would not be possible.

Please mark your calendars, as we are very excited to hold our first in-person conference since the outbreak, this September at the Hilton Garden Inn in Edmond.  Registration will go out soon and we can hardly wait to shake your hand and see your smiling faces!

Finally, if YOU are interested in being part of our dynamic team by becoming more involved, please let us know.  I truly look very forward to working with you this next year.  If I can be of any service to you in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

With deepest regard,

Louise Kiper
